1. Who we are

We Take Orders (wetakepreorders.com) is a pre-order platform that lets small food vendors take customer pre-orders through their own storefront.

2. Information we collect

  • Customer order details — name, phone number, and the items ordered, so the vendor can prepare and confirm the order.
  • Vendor account details — business name, contact email, and a mobile number used for order notifications.
  • Payment information — handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

3. SMS / text messaging

We use SMS to send order notifications to business owners. When a customer places an order on a vendor’s storefront, the vendor’s owner receives a text with the order details so they can fulfill it. Text messaging is delivered through Twilio.

  • Recipients are business owners who opt in by providing their mobile number to receive order notifications.
  • Message frequency depends on how many orders the vendor receives. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out of further messages, or HELP for help.
  • A customer’s phone number is shared with the vendor so they can confirm the order; we do not send customers automated or marketing texts.

4. How we use information

Information is used only to operate the service: to process and fulfill orders, send order notifications and reminders, and provide support. We do not sell personal information.
